Middlesea Assist offers various assistance services such as roadside, home and medical emergencies – both locally through Mediphone (please refer to the benefit specifications to understand what this benefit is all about) and worldwide such as calling for an ambulance or helping you find the closest doctor/hospital if you are abroad.  The first assistance service is available 24/7 (including Sundays and Public Holidays) and case continuation is based upon claim coverage and your policy terms and conditions during office hours.  In addition, Middlesea Assist also provides general call-centre services and various levels of warranties for used and new cars, appliances, portable computer equipment and smart phones.

Roadside Assistance 

Since its inception, roadside assistance has been one of Middlesea Assist’s core competences.  Services include repair on the spot following mechanical or electrical breakdown, battery boost and flat tyre assistance, towing of motor vehicle following a breakdown or accident, second delivery service, fuel delivery and locksmith service.  This service is provided in all Europe.

Home Assistance

This service helps to solve electrical and plumbing emergencies at home, such as burst pipes, leaking drains, and lack of electrical power.  This action limits the damage that might be caused by such emergency and minimize your frustration. 

Medical Assistance

Medical Assistance is only offered to policy holders of MAPFRE Middlesea’s Health Insurance. Three services are offered by Middlesea Assist.

Mediphone is a 24-hour telephone medical advice service which allows clients to contact a doctor who can offer guidance in the event of any health-related circumstance. 

MAPFRE Middlesea’s Health Insurance policies also include an exclusive Second Medical Opinion Service program, which is now being provided by Middlesea Assist which forms part of an International Assistance Network. If one diagnosed with a serious illness and would like to get further confirmation, this benefit gives the patient access to a network of acknowledged international medical experts.

Mobile App

MAPFRE Middlesea launched an innovative Motor App that allows motor insurance customers easy access to 24/7 roadside assistance and breakdown anywhere in Malta, Gozo and the rest of Europe at the tap of a finger.  The iASSIST APP can be downloaded for free on any smartphone from Google Play and the App Store for iPhone. At the press of a button the APP will automatically reach the 24/7 Call Centre and a tow-truck will be dispatched to the client’s exact location via GPS technology.
