MAPFRE Middlesea and MAPFRE MSV are proud supporters of The Bubble Festival 2017 – a festival which supports humanitarian causes and raises awareness about being eco-friendly.

Over the past years The Bubble has channelled over €25,000 to different NGOs, making a number of wonderful projects possible. Throughout the festival, a number of workshops were held – these included yoga sessions, meditation sessions, discussions dance workshops, music jams etc.

MAPFRE Middlesea and MAPFRE MSV Life supported The Bubble Festival in two different ways. First, by financially covering the insurance costs needed for the event. Second, the Group organised a group of employees, who volunteered at the Festival. Volunteers went around the area collecting waste, and divided it accordingly for it to be recycled. The Bubble’s ‘leave no trace’ policy has seen organisers progressively step up their efforts to reduce the festival’s ecological footprint. In 2016, the 1.5 tonnes of waste were disposed of without a single kilogram ending in a landfill.

This initiative forms part of MAPFRE’ CSR Programme, in which the company gives back to the community, by supporting local NGOs. This is also in line with the values of MAPFRE Global, of which it forms part of.

“We are happy to have been part of this festival, which promotes environmentalism and giving back to the community. All of us need to do our part in caring for our surroundings and reducing the human impact on the environment,” Marketing Manager at MAPFRE Middlesea, Ana Zammit Munro said.
