Roadside assistance by motorbike
Middlesea Assist is now rendering roadside assistance services by the utilization of a three wheeled scooter. Thanks to the double wheel configuration on the front, the scooter is relatively safe and stable to ride and can easily drive through congested roads thus reaching the breakdown location quicker and clearing the road more efficiently. The company’s tow-trucks still remain an important asset when removal of the vehicle is needed whereas the motorbike distinguishes itself when repair-on-the-spot is needed.
While Middlesea Assist is still refining the use of the motorbike, the benefits that both the clients and the Company are enjoying are already evident and it is not excluded that soon we see a twin motorbike driving through our busy roads.
When in 2012, Middlesea Assist launched its roadside assistance operation, it distinguished itself from competition and become a trend setter in a very short period of time. Today, four and a half years later, Middlesea Assist still recognizes the potential of having its own vehicles and employees for rendering roadside assistance services. However, the increasing challenges posed by the Maltese traffic conditions cannot be avoided and in order to remain effective, the Company has to adapt.
Roadside assistance is available 24/7 for all holders of MAPFRE Middlesea’s motor policy. All three levels of cover provide you with free Roadside Assistance and Breakdown Service which includes repair on the spot following mechanical or electrical breakdown, battery boost and flat tyre assistance, towing of motor vehicle following a breakdown or accident, second delivery service, fuel delivery and locksmith service.
