Three Middlesea Insurance employees Antonella Mercieca, Claud Fenech and David Galea, have been conferred with the Advanced Diploma in Insurance qualification, making them Associates of the Chartered Insurance Institute (ACII) of the UK.
This brings the total number of fully qualified ACII holders to 17, in addition to six FCII (Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute) holders, making the Middlesea Group the company employing the largest number of insurance graduates.
Training and the attainment of academic qualifications is an ongoing process at Middlesea, as it forms part of the Company's investment in the development of its human resources. Middlesea has always believed that professionally trained employees are essential to provide a reliable service of the highest quality to its customers.
Ms Mercieca, who also has an honours degree in Banking and Finance is an Executive in Finance and Investments. Mr Fenech, a Senior Executive within the Reinsurance Department is responsible for reinsurance placements while, Mr Galea, a Claims Executive, is responsible for general business claims for Middlesea Insurance p.l.c.
The CII is the premier professional organisation for those working in the insurance and financial services industry, which provides a broad portfolio of education and qualification services which meet the requirements of companies and individuals across the financial services community. The ACII is the professional qualification awarded from the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII), of the UK, to experienced and expert market practitioners.
