Middlesea Group recently organised a blood donation day during which its employees as well as Floriana residents donated blood at the Blood Donation Mobile Unit stationed in front of the Middlesea premises in Floriana.

This is another initiative within the Group’s Corporate Social responsibilities function, the aim being of raising awareness of the importance of donating blood regularly in order to avoid shortages and save lives.

A blood donation consists of only a fraction of the total blood volume of a healthy person. In order to be eligible to donate blood, prospective donors must be in good health and between 18 and 63 years of age.

Blood donation has become a regular event on the Middlesea Group Corporate Social Responsibility calendar. Such events demonstrate that the Group’s mission goes beyond its core business activities.  Middlesea Group also aims at improving the wellbeing of the community in which it operates by serving its needs and leading by example.
