Middlesea strengthens relationship with St Philip’s Hospital Middlesea Insurance plc and St Philip’s Hospital have concluded an agreement which enables a smooth process of acceptance and discharge of insured patients. By means of this agreement a patient who is insured under one of Middlesea’s health insurance policies will not need to pay hospital fees upon discharge as these would be payable directly by Middlesea Insurance on the strength of the Agreement signed by both parties. The Middlesea/St Philips agreement also lays the foundation for further cooperation between both entities in the future. A benefit which shall come into force with immediate effect relates to favorable hospital prices for routine breast screening. It has been announced that for the next two years women insured with Middlesea Insurance who are 45 years of age and over will be entitled to a special price of €40 in respect of a mammogram carried out at St Philip’s Hospital for screening purposes.
